Don’t Look Back

When I took my car to the mechanic today, I parked in a spot that looked out on the road I drove in on. When I looked the way I came, I was struck by the message on the sign saying “Wrong Way” (picture posted below).

Because I was looking back where I had come from, the following scripture came to mind:

“…one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13b-14)

If you have given your life to Christ, do not look back on your old life, your old habits or old mindsets. Things like regret, condemnation, bad choices and harmful associations belong in your rear-view mirror. Looking back will not take you in the right direction…the righteous direction. Keep your eyes on Jesus and keep walking forward…He will lead you in the way you should go!

Blessings ❤

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith…” (Hebrews 12:1-2a)
