For The Intercessors

“Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble.” ~ Isaiah35:3

Sharing this encouraging word regarding President Elect Trump, the nations & governements of the world and God’s faithful prayer warriors. Continue to stand in His grace until His purposes are fulfilled in the earth!

“O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the LORD. Give the LORD no rest until he completes his work, until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth.” ~ Isaiah 62:6-7

Dream of the Country’s Affairs In the early morning hours of December 31, 2016, I had a profound dream from the Lord regarding President Trump and the affairs of the nations. In this dream I was brought to a country fair. As I walked in there was a sign that read “The Country’s Fair.” The […]

Let Love Rule

Please, dear brothers and sisters, hear the Lord’s heart:

Your anger at the world does not make you holy. It is a distraction and a trap that keeps you from flowing in the love of God! It’s saps your strength; it short-circuits your power in Christ; it grieves the Holy Spirit and it dilutes and destroys your witness!

Yes, there is a lot of evil in the world and so many things are wrong. But God never called us to anger (toward people) and condemnation. Jesus did not come to condemn the world, but to save it:

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” John 3:17. Without Christ, people are already condemned (John 3:18-19)

Our anger, grief and frustration should be turned toward prayer, intercession and pleading for God’s mercy…not His judgment. Listen to what Jesus told His disciples when the people of a Samaritan town rejected Him, simply because He was on His way to Jerusalem:

“…and He sent messengers on ahead of Him, and they went and entered a village of the Samaritans to make arrangements for Him. But they did not receive Him, because He was traveling toward Jerusalem. When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?” But He turned and rebuked them, [and said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are of; for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”] And they went on to another village.” Luke 9:54-56 NASB

It is so easy to focus on everything that is wrong. I struggle myself! But when I read the word, and see how Jesus interacted with people, the lost, the righteous and the self-righteous, it does not line up with the way so many of us respond to unbelievers. While dying on the cross, in the face of haters, mockers, liars and thieves, Jesus cried out: “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34 a.

I did not come to Christ until I was 30 years old. As I’ve said before, while I was raised to believe in God and Jesus, I was not saved. From about the age of 20 until 30, I was a professing atheist. I did not have the capability of following God’s ways, nor did I have any desire to because I did not have God’s spirit in me…

But God.

In His extreme mercy and love, He revealed Himself to me through the love of humble and gracious believers. They did not judge me or treat me like I felt I deserved, or how I was certain I would be treated by Christians. I did sense conviction, even though I did not know it was God at that time. But His loving conviction was not condemnation. I was not made to feel like worthless trash or that they were somehow better than me. I had felt the sting of religious people when I was growing up and wanted nothing to do with them. Unfortunately, people are the only example of God most of us have, so the question becomes: do we look like Jesus to the lost? Do we sound like love when we speak, for God IS love (1 John 4:7).

A final word on associating with unbelievers and believers, and it is from Paul:

“When I wrote to you before, I told you not to associate with people who indulge in sexual sin. But I wasn’t talking about unbelievers who indulge in sexual sin, or are greedy, or cheat people, or worship idols. You would have to leave this world to avoid people like that. I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.

“It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.” 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 New Living Translation

Humble yourself before God and ask Him to fill you with His heart for the world…everything else will melt in His presence.

Lasting Fruit & Prayer

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit–fruit that will remain–so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.”

John 15:16

Sharing this message from Francis Frangipane. Keep seeking the Lord in prayer, even as we seek Him for answers.

Arise Prayer Warriors!

Jesus told a parable to show that men ought to pray at all times and not lose heart (Luke 18: 1-8). In other words, if you are not praying, you will lose heart. Most of the things I pray for I have to pray through to get the answer. God desires to see something deeper come out of my prayer time than just me getting an answer to prayer. He wants me to become like Jesus. So He arranges character-forming battles that not only will ultimately change the world around me, but will change me first. This is what all true prayer warriors have discovered.

When we picture a prayer warrior, we usually envision a great-aunt or grandmother. I think that every family has one. You never find them looking into a crystal ball to know the future for little Johnny; they are at the throne of God creating Johnny’s future in prayer. They are not wondering if Mary is going to make it; they are praying her through to victory. They do not have time to lament Harry’s drinking problem; they are storming Heaven to see him delivered.

Prayer Warriors are the most frightening, powerful, demon-chasing, world-moving beings on earth. In truth, they are co-creators with God! They look at astrological predictions and rebuke them. They never wonder about the future because they are too busy creating it. Prayer warriors are positioned by God to stand in faith for their families and churches and cities. Prayer is stronger than kings and mightier than armies. Prayer is the most powerful force on earth!

Prayer for today

This has been on my mind:

The Body of Christ…all over the world.

The Western Christian church, particularly in the USA.

Marriages & families.

The amplified perception of evil & the reality of evil in the world.

The past and how it relates to the present.

Moses, Jesus (again), Daniel, Joseph (Jacob’s son), etc…

God Almighty- El Shaddai.

Prayer for today:

Holy Father- You are mighty and worthy of our praise, no matter what the conditions may be. You have instructed us to pray without ceasing and I am so thankful that we can come to you, asking for your intervention and help.

The world is a scary place right now and many of your people are suffering. Places far from my home are experiencing horrific invasion by the enemy– who is at the root of all evil in the world. Christians around the world are dying horrible deaths. Women and children are being ripped from their families, held captive by evil and perverse men & women. Father, please have mercy and deliver these children, these girls & boys,  these men & women. Not just those who know You as Savior & Lord, but also the ones who have not yet had the chance to hear the truth– that You love them and sent Jesus to die for them.

Strengthen those held captive. Whisper words of love, truth and comfort to their souls. Give all of these precious ones the grace to remain faithful to you, no matter the pressure or fear that threatens to overtake and destroy them. I am asking You for miraculous deliverance. You set Peter free from his jail cell and Paul & Silas too. You have not changed— You are the same yesterday, today and forever.

Father, I lift up the Church, especially in America and the west. Keep us from petty differences and strife. Please forgive us for competitiveness, selfishness, fear & worry. Help us to not squander our time. You have given each of us resources and gifts according to Your will, according to your purpose and plan. We repent for getting caught up in worldliness, busyness, politics, fruitless arguments and conversations. Keep us from the things that distract and tear down. Help us to recognize when we are straying from your righteous ways and your path. Put a hunger in us for truth and righteousness– the grace to be doers of the word, true disciples, and not merely hearers of your word.

Father, please bless and strengthen marriages and families. Help us to nurture and build up our spouse and our children– they are your gifts to us. Heal marriages and families. Bring peace. Please provide good, stable work for the people that need jobs. Give each of us the grace we need to seek your face, to receive wisdom and understanding, to hear you speak to us personally as you direct our paths.

Lord, we can get so distracted by the news– all the horrific, relentlessly depressing news, that we can begin to forget that You are God. Almighty God, El Shaddai. The world has been a dangerous, unjust place for a very long time, but again, You have not changed and you never will. Your arm is not short, that it can not save. You hear us when we cry out and your perform your word! You kept Daniel while in the lion’s den; You empowered Moses to lead your people through the wilderness, even as you protected and kept him safe from his infancy on up. The ultimate example is our Lord Jesus, who even as He walked this earth and lived among us, was kept by your powerful hand. He knew Judas would betray him; knew that Peter would deny him; knew that for your plan to be fulfilled, you would forsake him for a time…

Holy Father, open our eyes to see how much you love us and give us the grace to trust you with all the unknowns in our life. We want to be a light in the darkness, an example of peace in the storm. Be glorified in us Jesus. It’s in your name that we pray.
