When Promises Become Real

Since the focus of my posts have been on prayer, I want to share this nugget of gold from Francis Frangipane:

“When a Bible promise is made real to us by the Holy Spirit and we, in faith, pray God’s promise, we are seeding the unformed essence of reality with the Spirit of God Himself. This was Ezekiel’s mission when he prophesied over the valley of dry bones — he spoke prophetically over the bones and they became an army! Such is the nature of prophetic prayer: we not only know God’s promises, we proclaim them over our lives, our families and our churches.”

Prayer for today:

Thank you for speaking to me in your word, Father. Your promises are great and precious, and I hold onto them in faith, confidently proclaiming them over my life, because You are faithful to bring them to pass. You will not fail me or forsake me, so if I start to weaken, revive me with your word. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who strengthens me and leads me into the truth, who reminds me of your words when I forget. Above all, thank you for the precious blood of Christ which sealed our redemption and made the way for us to be receive every good thing from your mighty hand. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Praying that you will have a word in this season to hold onto!

I am including a link to a past AOH post regarding this very topic. Read it if you have the time. It’s called Hope Against Hope

Grace to Overcome

I have found that as I continue to walk with the Lord, the battles in my life have become easier to confront and overcome.

It’s not because I’m all that or have attained to some super Christian level of spirituality…

And it’s not because the battles themselves have somehow become less challenging, less ugly or less difficult.

It is simply because I have come to know the Lord more intimately.

walking with God

He has become greater in my life, larger, more trustworthy. Not that He wasn’t great or worthy of my trust before, it’s just that as we have walked out this life together (God & I), He has proven Himself faithful over and over and over again.

He has taught me how to seek Him, how to pray and how to listen. He encourages me in the word with special scriptures that speak directly to me and to my needs. He confirms those words in a myriad of creative ways: through songs, through friends, through a stranger’s kind words…

He strengthens me with His precious Holy Spirit who is my constant help and guide.

He has set me free from fears, condemnation and confusion. He blesses me with the ability to get free from sins, from bad and destructive habits, as well as negative mindsets and beliefs.

I no longer wonder if God will help me, forgive me or reject me— His truth in these areas has set me free!

I am grounded in the foundation of His all-encompassing, extravagant and unconditional love. If God is for me, then who or what can possibly be against me? (Romans 8:31)

God has given you the means to victory– it is through faith in the power & the blood of Jesus Christ.

Walk with Him everyday and you will overcome every obstacle, hindrance and sin that tries to hold you down:

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world– our faith.” 1 John 5:4
