Start Living It

Colossians 2:6-7 The Message (MSG)

From the Shadows to the Substance

6-7 My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You’re deeply rooted in him. You’re well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.

In the Presence of my Love

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

John 14:27 New Living Translation

When I come into His Presence and fix my gaze on Him, all of my troubles fade in the light on His love.

All tension leaves my body as I picture His beautiful smile. I reach out my hand to take hold of His outstretched arm, accepting His invitation to come near.

I am His and He is mine. Why was I anxious and afraid?

The Bridegroom beckons,

“Draw near my love. There is nothing to fear. I will protect and care for you always.”

I am in love and I am at peace.

Thank you Lord for your perfect gift. I can never thank You enough, but I will gladly try ❤

Song of Solomon 2

Love Makes Everything Beautiful

She Speaks:

2 I am merely a rose
from the land of Sharon,
a lily from the valley.

He Speaks:

2 My darling, when compared
with other young women,
you are a lily among thorns.

She Speaks:

3 And you, my love,
are an apple tree
among trees of the forest.
Your shade brought me pleasure;your fruit was sweet.

4 You led me to your banquet room and showered me with love.

5 Refresh and strengthen me
with raisins and apples.
I am hungry for love!

6 Put your left hand under my head and embrace me with your right arm.

“You will taste my Mercy”

Sharing from the Passion Translation Team:

I Hear His Whisper…

“You will taste my Mercy.”

Today you will see that My strength never fails you. For many days you have felt that your progress was so slow, but from today forward, you will soar swiftly like an eagle in the sky. But I am asking one thing of you today, that you would learn to forgive, even as I have forgiven you. The gift I give to you that will make you fly, is the gift of forgiveness. Freely take this gift and give it away. I have died for all and forgiven My enemies, even praying for those who pierced Me.

You will find in heaven many people that will surprise you, for in their later years I came to them with this gift and they received Me as their Redeemer, the One who took away their sin. Now today you will extend a hand of mercy to those who have pierced you, those who have brought pain into your life. For as you forgive you will fly.

You will taste the gift of mercy as never before, but only as you give this gift of mercy to others. I will take that dark veil away from your heart and you will begin to see others in the light of grace, the beautiful light of mercy. Even as I have freely forgiven the most vile offender, I call you to walk with Me and find that My strength will not fail you– the strength to forgive. This is the new ministry I am calling you to embrace. You will need My grace to accept this calling but it will bring life into your soul, for My life will cause you to overflow with great love expressed as you forgive.

Today you will have opportunities to say the words that I once spoke and My servant Stephen also spoke, “Father, forgive them.” As you release this forgiveness I will release the pain from your heart and you not feel it again. My grace will wash and cleanse and empower you to forgive and forgive and forgive, until you no longer keep records of wrongs against you.

Even as I cooked breakfast for the one who denied Me three times, you will show mercy. Today you will learn that My strength will never fail you, for you will taste the sweetness of My mercy.

Psalm 34:8-9 The Passion Translation

Drink deeply of the pleasures of this God.
Experience for yourself the joyous mercies he gives
to all who turn to hide themselves in him.
Worship in awe and wonder,
all you who’ve been made holy!
For all who fear him will feast with plenty.

He’s Got the Power

“…holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.” 2 Timothy 3:5 New American Standard Bible

This scripture has been coming up in my thoughts for about a week.

It’s such a profound statement! It addresses the issue of people who believe in God, who perhaps believe in Jesus also, yet they refuse to acknowledge His power. These are people who attend church (or don’t),  and are unwilling to believe that the Lord can change people. They don’t believe that He hears them when they pray…if they pray at all…and they refuse to acknowledge that God answers prayers.

These are people who scoff when you say the Lord heals people, or that He can set people free from addictions. They might laugh at you, or politely remain quiet when told that the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, comes to live inside of you, when you are born-again.

I say this with complete confidence, because I know the Lord: God heals! God sets people free! He comforts the broken-hearted. His presence drives out fear & anxiety, flooding your soul with peace. He has the power to restore relationships, and to keep you from dangerous, unhealthy ones.

Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, will teach you, guide you and lead you into  God’s good will for your life. He will not fail you, because God keeps His promises.

He is wonderful! If you know Him, you are blessed! If you have just recently started your new life in Christ, spend time with Him in prayer & in the word of God. Be around other people who are seeking Him because their fellowship will help you stay on track. If you don’t know Him yet, be assured that He will welcome you with open arms because He loves you.

There are enough people in the world who think negatively, who speak negatively and who will only contribute to your doubt & unbelief. You don’t have to hang out with them, they will only bring you down and lead you away from Christ. They will be easy to spot, because “They will hold to an outward form of godliness but deny its power. Stay away from such people.” 2 Timothy 3:5

Now it is clear that no one is justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing] before God by the Law, for “The righteous (the just, the upright) shall live by faith.” ~ Galatians 3:11 Amplified Bible
