What is the Source of Your Hope?

“Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength;

They will mount up with wings like eagles,

They will run and not get tired,

They will walk and not become weary.”

Isaiah 40:31 New American Standard

This is God’s promise to me at this time and I’m holding onto it in faith.

need strength. I need help because I’m weary & tired. It’s been a rough couple of years…

The thing I absolutely love about this scripture is the meaning of the words “wait for”. In Hebrew, the word is qâvâh (kä·vä), which means to expect, to await, to look for patiently, to wait, to hope, to be confident, to trust (Strong’s H 6960). The literal translation of the 1st line is this:

“Yet those who hope in the LORD Will gain new strength…”

My hope is in the Lord: in His goodness and in His faithfulness. When He speaks a promise, I trust that He will fulfill it because He doesn’t lie.

Praying for everyone who needs renewed strength or help. Qavah on the Lord, He will not fail you!
